Viola da Gamba / Baroque Cello

As an active cellist and viola da gamba player, Jamie Jim has performed in different orchestras and ensembles such as the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble and Oakland’s Resonance Jazz Ensemble. She has performed in music festivals in various cities including Amsterdam, Bremen, Vancouver, San Francisco and Kyoto.
As one of the founders of the Early Music Society of Hong Kong, she has been performing in over 30 concerts/workshops since 2012, specializing in the baroque cello and viola da gamba.
Jim graduated from the music department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She later pursued further education in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Her principal cello teachers include Ray Wang and Jennifer Culp. On the baroque cello and viola da gamba, Jim had taken lessons from different masters.
作為大提琴及古提琴演奏者，詹氏熱衷參與不同類型的音樂演出，並活躍於不同的音樂團體，包括︰香港小交響樂團，香港創樂團及美國奧克蘭Resonance Jazz Ensemble。她曾於阿姆斯特丹、不萊梅、溫哥華、三藩市、京都等地之音樂節演出。
自2012年與友人創立香港早期音樂協會，一直醉心學習鑑古演奏法，至今已舉辦超過三十場工作坊及音樂會。
詹氏畢業於香港中文大學音樂系，其後於香港演藝學院及三藩市音樂學院完成大提琴專業文憑及演奏碩士課程。大提琴師承王磊和Jennifer Culp，及向多位大師學習巴洛克大提琴及古提琴。
